Fraud Detection and Prevention

White-collar and/or employee fraud costs American business billions of dollars each year.  Unlike a robbery or burglary, the loss from white-collar fraud is covert.

Benefits of our Fraud Detection and Prevention Program:
· Detection of fraudulent activities and/or misappropriation of assets.
· Locate and provide information for the recovery of misappropriated assets.
· Design and recommendation of policies and procedures to prevent fraud

In addition to the technical accounting skills of an experienced Certified Public Accountant, we have the ability to elicit facts from witnesses in a fair, impartial, lawful and accurate manner, and to report the examination results accurately and completely. We have two Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) on staff: David Stafford and Nicholas Burkett. David Stafford has been a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) for 17 years.  He has been licensed as a Certified Public Accountant for 25 years.  Mr. Stafford has testified numerous times in state and federal courts regarding the results of fraud examinations he has performed.

Forensic Investigations

Many cases are won or lost during discovery, so an investigative accountant can be a valuable asset. We can advise lawyers about the types of records to request. Our investigative accounting techniques help establish causation of damages when searching for improprieties, to uncover hidden assets or fraudulent conveyances, and to detect fraud or embezzlement. Once information is obtained, we analyze and explain its significance in clear and understandable terms.
